[teknoids] [EXTERNAL] Electronic multiple choice exams?

Cumberland has made electronic MC exams available for years with Exam4. Some used it. Most did not. COVID prompted the administration to more or less mandate MC use in Exam4. We would use an Apperson bubble form only if someone had to handwrite an exam due to equipment failure. We do still have one professor that provides their own answer sheet and requires students to write their letter answer on the provided sheet. We are still providing hard copy exams to in-class administered exams. Remote students view the exam questions in the Exam4 software client.

Subject: [EXTERNAL][teknoids] Electronic multiple choice exams?

Hi all,

We're recent adopters of the multiple choice module for ExamSoft.

We still have a card-based Scantron OMR machine but we'd like to say goodbye to it as our primary MC scoring tool.

Change is hard. Harder for some.

I"m curious how many of you use an electronic system for your multiple choice exams.

If this data exists somewhere please let me know... if not, I'll create a little survey (three or four questions?) and send it out... and share the results.

If anyone wants to collaborate on questions I'm game.

Wishing you all health and safety!
