Howdy folks.

I though I'd pass this along because I know a number of law schools are
involved in the A2J space and this is a great conference. The conference is
January 9 - 11, 2019 in New Orleans LA.

I apologize for the cross-posting, but I wanted to remind everyone that the
deadline to submit session proposals for the 2019 Innovations in Technology
Conference (ITCon) <https://www.lsc.gov/meetings-and-events/tech-conference>
is in two weeks – *Monday, August 6*. Please share this with anyone you
think would be interested in submitting a proposal. We look forward to
seeing your ideas!

The Innovations in Technology Conference grew out of LSC's Technology
Initiative Grant (TIG) Program, which promotes access to justice in civil
matters through the innovative use of technology in legal services delivery
and pro se assistance. ITCon brings together technologists, legal aid
advocates, court personnel, academics and other professionals to showcase
technology projects and tools being implemented across the country and
internationally to promote access to justice and high-quality legal
representation for low-income people.

The conference will highlight Technology Initiative Grant projects as well
as showcase innovations being implemented by LSC grantees using non-TIG
funds, by non-LSC funded legal aid programs, courts, legal technology
companies, law schools, international legal services organizations and

At the 2018 conference, there were over 400 attendees and 50 sessions. You
can review last year’s conference materials

get a feel for the types of sessions offered. This year we are accepting
proposals for five types of conference sessions:

   - Workshop Session (75 minutes)
   - Hands-On Lab or Technology Demo (75 minutes)
   - Affinity Group Discussions (informal 60-minute discussion group)
   - Rapid Fire Talks (6-minute lightning talk at a plenary)
   - NEW: Legal Tech Startup Showcase (10-minute TED-type talk of a new
   technology that can help expand access to justice)
