Good info. Do they also serve dual duty as vocal reinforcement for the classroom?

Hi Tony -

We have been using Revolabs, with success, since we opened Eckstein Hall. There have been a handful of mics that went bad, and we have had microphones get out of sync, as well as a couple of bad receivers, of which we replaced with some surplus Shure microphones. We are considering a slow migration to Shure ULXD's as the Revolabs receivers are not cheap. All wireless microphones, and sources, are integrated into our Mediasite recorders.

Yes.

We use Panopto which pulls from the lectern PC, the USB mic is plugged into that PC and selected as a source in Panopto.

Great suggestion. Does the USB microphone tie into any of the classroom recording abilities?

We have both the Revolabs USB mics<http://www.revolabs.com/products/product-line/xtag-usb> and the lavalieres from Shure.

The Revolabs ones are pretty economical and I don't think we've had any trouble with them yet… We started using them after we saw them in action at Marquette's CALI hosting. Many thanks to Dax on that recommendation.

Best,

Hey gang,

Fresh from the CALIcon, fully inspired and looking at classroom upgrades. Specifically wireless microphone options for presenters. I know that in years past at CALIcon in San Diego and Chicago they had pendant style wireless microphones that draped around the neck for the instructors in the classrooms (if I am not mistaken). I am looking for something along those lines. While we have used the body pack lavaliere style mics like the ones at Harvard, but I am really trying to make it as easy and painless as possible for my faculty and feel the pendant style is the way to go.

If you could pass along and info on systems you are using (or have used) that would be awesome!
