Office 2007 files don't appear to be supported. I get a message: "Sorry, but conversion from the document type "docx" is not supported" Same for PPTX. Next I tried a .jpg file, and got the same message.

To end on a good note, a 198 page .doc file converted fine, as did a 2.7 MB .xls file (ended up being 969 pages).

I'm trying out a web-based document conversion system and I'd
appreciate if you would take a few minutes and run some stuff through
it. The URL is http://calidell4.cali.org:8080/converter/ and it
should be able to convert anything you throw at it into PDF and more
depending on the file type. What I'm especially interested in is how
it handles complex Word and Wordperfect documents and Powerpoints.
So, go grab a copy of the nastiest footnote-laden law review article
or multi-media studded Powerpoint you can find and see what it does.
Let me know how it works for you.
