Or perhaps a cheap dehumidifier?

No idea if this will work...but a low-ish tech solution might be to
keep the
paper out of the machine, in a dry, cool place (e.g. a small
refrigerator),
until it's needed.  {J}

Subject: [teknoids] Copiers and laser printers in very hot, humid
places

Folks:

I've been asked for advice on low-cost methods for making copiers and
laser printers more functional in highly humid environments. Ithaca,
NY
only qualifies in that respect about once a year -- and I can certainly

remember what a PITA copiers and laser printers are when the paper
swells and jams every few minutes. Has anybody got any ideas about
this
that *don't* involve climate control for the whole room/facility
(impractical for these users, who have no money)? Field-tested
solutions would of course be best.

Best,
Tb.
